Thursday 23rd March - Windsurf **** River Orwell at Levington ? sunny periods and mild.

Foil ? 21.11 knot max, 19.33 knot ave, 12.21 knot hour, 17.15 knot mile, 40.55 km., 15.22 knot alpha.

Starboard Freeride 150 and an Evolution Freeride foil with a Naish Evolution 5.60m.

The mild and breezy weather continues so after breakfast and repairing my Tushingham 6.5 broken yesterday I once again over to Levington Marina to meet up with Michael Galbraith dropping Mag off on the way for her daily walk:) Arriving around 11 we had to park to the left once again, there was loads of water and more sunshine today, getting to 14/15 degrees although the water is still a tad on the chilly side! I set up my foil board and took a chance with my Naish 5.6 which has been gathering dust in the back of my garage with Michael going for 5.2 and to be honest we were both way over powered and 4.7 would have been a lot better for me with the wind gusting to nearly 30 knots at times with the River Orwell being particularly lumpy today so it was not a day for going too fast, although I did try and broke 21 knots a couple of time but also had a few big wipe-outs! I just did long runs down towards Pin Mill again today being so windy and lumpy, certainly some challenging foiling conditions:) Getting really knackered I decided to call it a day after a couple of hours, pack up, shower and head for home, tomorrow is again looking very windy but will give it a miss due to an appointment with the physio and with have our Granddaughter, the lovely Maeve visiting, perhaps I can get out on Saturday before the temperature drops again and Mag hopefully has her cast off on Tuesday although her arm still hurts:(
